Rural Financial Counselling Service
Rural Financial Counselling Service North Queensland
McKinlay Shire Council wishes to advise local primary producers that the Rural Financial Counselling Service North Queensland (RFCSNQ) is available to provide support following recent flooding and severe weather impacts across the region.
RFCSNQ understands that many producers are still focused on animal welfare and immediate on‑property needs. However, as recovery begins, assistance is available for those who require help assessing financial impacts or applying for disaster-related support.
RFCSNQ can assist with:
- Disaster Assistance Recovery Grant applications
- Disaster Loan applications
- Reviewing financial issues resulting from the flooding event
- Ongoing financial counselling and guidance for primary producers
RFCSNQ provides a free, confidential and mobile service and can offer support by phone, online or in person. Outreach options such as pop‑up offices can also be arranged within the Shire if needed.
With extensive experience supporting producers across central ,western and north Queensland, Emma Cook is available to assist McKinlay Shire farmers on their road to recovery.
