Tourism Officer

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking to employ a full-time Tourism Officer to join the Community Services team based in Julia Creek. The Tourism Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of ‘At the Creek’, the Visitor Information Centre that was awarded the best in Queensland in 2019. Additionally, the Tourism Officer is responsible for the promotion of McKinlay Shire as a premier outback location in Queensland under direction from the Community Services Team Leader. The role also encompasses caring for and hosting daily feeding sessions with our famous ‘Julia Creek Dunnart’ which is a key attraction alongside ‘Beneath the Creek’. Casual Cleaner - Applications assessed on submission

McKinlay Shire Council seeks to employ a Casual Cleaner. This position is based in Julia Creek and will entail the cleaning of various Council Buildings as well as domestic cleaning for the Council operated Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and the Julia Creek Caravan Park, the hours worked will be varied with flexibility. The suitable applicant will be honest and trustworthy, have good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
