The suitable applicant will be enthusiastic, have good organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a small team of educators, along with the children and their families, to reflect the culture, values and, community connection of our small town We are a small, 21 place Early Learning Centre, in the rural/remote town of Julia Creek. You will be responsible for the planning, growth and development of a 9 place toddler room. Candidates will be required to hold a Child Care/Working with Children qualification, Current CPR and First Aid Certificate and a current Working with Children Blue Card.
Visitor Information Centre Coordinator - Applications assessed on submission
McKinlay Shire Council has an exciting opportunity available for a full time Visitor Information Centre Coordinator to join their Community Services team based in Julia Creek for 6 months with the possible opportunity to extend thereafter. The Visitor Information Centre Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations of ‘At the Creek’, the visitor information centre and for promotion of McKinlay Shire as a premier outback location in Queensland within the tourism industry, under direction from the Tourism Coordinator.
Casual Cleaner - Applications assessed on submission
McKinlay Shire Council seeks to employ a Casual Cleaner. This position is based in Julia Creek and will entail the cleaning of various Council Buildings as well as domestic cleaning for the Council operated Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and the Julia Creek Caravan Park, the hours worked will be varied with flexibility. The suitable applicant will be honest and trustworthy, have good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
