Early Childhood Teacher/2IC - rolling advert
Council is seeking responsible and creative applicants for the position of full time Early Childhood Teacher and 2IC at Julia Creek Early Learning Centre (ELC). The ECT/2IC will assist the Director to oversee ELC staff and lead the design and implementation of both a Kindergarten program and long day care program in accordance with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and Early Years Learning Framework. The successful applicant will be able to plan for the individual needs of the children within their room, implementing the planning cycle, collaborating with families to develop an enriched learning environment for the children in their room.

Payroll/Human Resources Officer
McKinlay Shire Council has an exciting opportunity available for a full-time Payroll and Human Resources Officer to join their Corporate Services team based in Julia Creek.
The role will ensure that all personnel receive remuneration in a timely and efficient manner and provide support to the Director Corporate and Community Services in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, training and development, performance monitoring and Council policies.
Desired applicants will possess the following skills and qualifications, or be willing to obtain:
• Minimum education to Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Experience and/or qualifications in working in Local Government;
• Qualification and/or demonstrated experience in Payroll and Human Resources functions;
• Experience working within the boundaries of policies and procedures.

Works Manager
An exciting and challenging opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and results orientated Manager to join the Council in the position of Works Manager.
The Works Manager is responsible to the Director of Engineering and Regulatory Services for the development and implementation of the Council’s works program. This role will provide leadership and support to the technical and other staff within the Works Department to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of projects and services.
Desired applicants will possess the following skills and qualifications, or be willing to obtain:
• Minimum qualifications in Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction with demonstrated experience in road construction and contract management;
• Excellent people and performance management skills;
• Strong operational leadership across multiple disciplines, with sound communication and creative problem solving skills;
