CASUAL POOL OFFICER

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking an active and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Casual Pool Officer. Council requires an individual to provide pool management relief and assistance towards the provision of sports and recreational activities to community members.
The suitable applicant will be enthusiastic, have good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised. The selection panel is seeking an individual who has, or is willing to undertake Council provided training to gain the following qualifications:

WORK PLACE HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER
Location: Julia Creek
McKinlay Shire Council seeks to employ a full-time Workplace Health and Safety Officer.
This position is designed to assist in the implementation and coordination of Council’s Safety Management System in accordance with legislative requirements and Council Policies. The Officer will be required to identify and analyse risks as well as potential risks, and develop additional policies, procedures and work practices to meet Council’s legislative requirements, along with relevant Australian Standards.
The Council is primarily aiming to employ a WHS advisor with a broad knowledge base and the ability to develop skills within other areas, including Risk Management and Training & Assessment. The Council is looking for a team player who is willing to undergo formal training and development as required for the role.
The selection panel will look favourably towards applicants who hold a preferred minimum education of Grade 12 or equivalent, in addition qualifications and/or demonstrated experience within OHS, Workplace Training & Assessment and Risk Management.
Remuneration will be based on the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award - State 2017 and Council’s current Enterprise Bargaining Agreement dependent on qualifications and experience.

DEPOT ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

McKinlay Shire Council is seeking an obliging and enthusiastic person for the full time role of Administration Officer at Council’s depot.
The Depot Administration Officer will be required to perform the various administrative and other duties associated with the Engineering and Regulatory Services departments.
The selection panel will look favourably towards individuals who have past administration experience, advanced computer skills and the ability to adapt to new and varying roles.
Due to the nature of our organisation you may be required to relieve other areas within the Engineering and Regulatory Services departments.
Remuneration for the above position will be based on Council’s current Enterprise Bargaining Agreement dependent on qualifications and experience.

CASUAL LIBRARIAN/TOURISM OFFICER
Council is seeking a motivated and reliable Librarian/Tourism Officer to operate the McKinlay Library and McKinlay Centenary Museum.
The position will be based in the township of McKinlay. Hours of work will be four hours per week from October to March and 20 hours per week April to September.
The suitable applicant will be enthusiastic, have good organisational and communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
