HACC

The Home and Community Care (HACC) Program helps people stay in their home and community.
The HACC Program is a joint Commonwealth, State and Territory initiative. It funds basic maintenance and support services to help frail older people and younger people with disabilities to continue living in their community.
The Julia Creek HACC Program is supported by the McKinlay Shire Council in Julia Creek and currently has 36 clients. The Program provides for many services and support frames in the Seniors Community.


The program delivers the following services:
• Centre Based Day Care-Every Wednesday from 9:30 to 1:00pm at the Julia Creek HACC Centre
• Personal Care-Provision of in home nursing care for clients on short term basis
• Home Maintenance- Lawn Mowing and home maintenance for approved clients
• Social Support-Help with Shopping, banking, medical appointments and general support for clients
• Domestic Assistance- Help in the home for cleaning for clients on a weekly basis
• Transport- Transport to and from Centre Based Care, Shopping and other transport as required is available for clients
